PSHE (Personal Social and Health Education) is woven throughout our learning and daily school life. We feel it is important to model positive decision-making and relationships with others in everything we do. We also teach these skills explicitly in Circle Time and in PSHE lessons. The PSHE curriculum coves 7 major sub-headings and aims to develop social skill areas. The 7 sub-headings are topics studied throughout the key stages at age appropriate levels. They are:

  1. Relationships
  2. Health
  3. Media
  4. Careers and work-related learning
  5. Financial Capability
  6. Citizenship
  7. Enrichment Activities

Within these topic areas, we aim to develop children's social skills and also prepare pupils for life in modern Britain by promoting 'Fundamental British Values', which includes teaching our pupils about democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
