In English we use the 'Dramatic Progress in Literacy' approach in our planning.

English is taught using quality fiction and non-fiction texts, which contain a rich and diverse range of vocabulary and subjects. Drama engages pupil's imagination, supporting them to write creatively. 

Pupils are given opportunities to write using a range of genres, some of which include:-

- Poetry

- Flashbacks

- Stories

- Letters

- Diaries

- Instructional writing
